Students download their
examinations from the institution's web server, and take these assessments using
Ergotest™ Proctor, a software program that is downloaded
and installed on their local computer. Ergotest™ Proctor
allows the student to take their examinations in a timed, secure, biometrically monitored environment
similar to a traditional testing center. When the exam is complete, the student uploads their exam to the
same server, where it is either automatically graded or put in the assessment's grading queue.
Biometric controls, including
webcam snapshots, thumbprint scans, randomizable personalized security questions, and optional student
ID scans all work to ensure the integrity of the examination environment. Biometric data is permanently
stored with each electronic examination file, providing a detailed record of each student's testing experience.
Unlike solely web-based assessment platforms, Ergotest™ assessments are taken in an offline
environment. Because of this, students don't have to worry about their examinations getting dropped
due to a bad Internet connection. Exams are saved in an encrypted version on the student's computer,
so even if the upload process fails, the exam isn't lost. With Ergotest™ Proctor,
your students can now take remote electronic assessments with confidence.
